Vladimir Ionas is a sociologist with over 8 years of experience in public opinion polling, methodology, majority/minority voting behavior, marketing and political consulting.
In the las year he was a State Counsellor in the Prime Minister’s Chancellery. In his capacity as advisor to the Prime Minister of Romania, he dealt with foreign policy issues (US-Romania relations), civil society and academia, and public administration.
After completing his undergraduate studies Mr. Ionas began working as a sociologist for the Social and Behavioral Studies Group “Avangarde” – one of the leading polling institutes in Romania. He has led over 1000 polls, both nationally as well as locally, and also designed the construction of three exit polls (presidential elections in 2014, local elections in 2016 and parliamentary elections in 2016) with the most accurate results on record (less than 1%).
Vladimir completed his bachelor’s degree at the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration with a Bachelor’s Degree in sociology. After that, he completed his master’s degree, also in sociology, at the University of Bucharest, and is currently working on his PhD studying the electoral behavior of the Hungarian minority in Romania.
